Today we were expecting friends to come to play this afternoon, but unfortunately one of their number wasn't well, so we had a change of plans. A while back K accidentally broke her favourite plate and had asked if we could go to
Funky Pots, so she could paint herself a new one and it has irked M for some time that she doesn't have her own egg cup, so she was keen too. The girls had decided that they would spend some of the money they had made selling things at Fun Club, so I was happy to take them. M wanted to know how much money to take, but there weren't prices on the website, so I suggested that she phone and ask how much an egg cup would be, which she did although admittedly a little reluctantly. K then phoned to find out how much a plate would cost. When we got there K & M chose the items they wanted to paint and I decided to join them.

All finished.
K had done some preparation and had copied the pictures that had been on the plate that she'd broken (we still have the box, which we use for storing things).

She then copied them onto the plate...

...very carefully!

All done.
I forgot to take a picture of mine, so that will have to wait until we pick them up after they've been fired in a week or so.
I'm still feeling pretty grotty, but having helpful chidlren really does make it easier. We got in from the painting place to a dishwasher to unload and washing to hang out and when I said what needed to be done, K immediately volunteered to take down the clean, dry washing and hang out the wet stuff and M helped me unload the dishwasher. This evening, I played taxi-driver, as M had Brownies (usually on a Monday, but changed just for this week) and K had Scouts, which meant going out twice, as I could drop K and E (who also goes to Scouts) off and then pick M and her friend J up in one trip and E's dad did the Scouts pick up.
