Busy, busy day!

I came downstairs this morning to find K working her way through Dragonbox on the computer.  She had already done so a couple of times, but that was quite a while ago, so she had deleted herself and started from scratch.  She's quite keen to try the 12+ version (it's the 5+ that we have), but unfortunately it's not yet available for PC, although due to be out later this year.  Once she had worked through the entire thing, all 200 , M had a go and, like her sister, decided to start from scratch, but she only managed about 38 of the   before we had to leave for the girls' piano lessons.  Now that the weather is a bit better, M decided on a trip to the park during K's lesson, whereas K is sticking to playing Phase 10 during M's.  M was determined to crack the monkey bars at the park, which she tells me are particularly tricky ones.

She did it!

After piano and lunch, we popped to the library before gymnastics.  It was the last session of this 'term' of gymnastics.  Numbers have been dwindling over the past few months and a couple of families have decided not to carry on with the next term.  Partly due to friends stopping and partly because they haven't been feeling challenged lately, K & M had been considering stopping too.  Since the group is now down to 5 children, we (the parents) weren't sure whether the group would continue, so I went to speak to the coach who seemed to be in charge, who was in the office.  It turns out that she was supposed to have been the group's coach, but had been off work ill for a period during the autumn and is pregnant, so will be going on maternity leave fairly soon.  She is, however, very keen to keep offering a gymnastics group for home edders, although it will have to move to a different day.  The coach who she is hoping will teach the children, is one who currently coaches the pre-school group that a number of the HE mum take their younger children to and all of them were extremely positive about her.  K & M have decided to keep going for the next term, if, once it's settled when it will take place, it's a time we can do.  I really hope that it is, because although it's gone down hill somewhat lately, they have both really enjoyed gymnastics and M in particular is really keen to continue.

After gymnastics we dashed home to get change before going round to friends, S, A & J for a play and tea, before S took all four girls to korfball.  We've got a quiet couple of days next fortunately, with just swimming tomorrow and Scouts for K on Thursday.
