We had our local 'not back to school' picnic and play in the park today. I'd been rather concerned when I looked at the weather forecast for here last night and it said it was going to rain all morning. Fortunately for us, they were wrong and it held off until the middle of the day. There was a good turn out for the picnic, with probably a dozen or so families there and children ranging from a tiny baby in a sling to teenagers.
One of the many things about HEing that I love is that the children can play with whoever they want without anyone (adult or child) batting an eyelid, for example 3 girls aged from 7 to nearly 9 and an 11 year old boy - like this!

Quite a few people went straight on to the monthly HE ice skating meet up, which both K & M really enjoy. They both particularly like seeing their friends J and M (his mum), along with some others. I have offered them both the opportunity of a bit of one-to-one/two coaching, but neither is interested and they are still making progress on the ice and gaining in confidence, although M gets a bit frustrated that she can't keep up with some of her friends.
