...and since then...

...we have had a look at the inside of the piano and talked to the piano tuner about it and seen the effects of pressing keys and pedals.  We've also seen that some notes have one string, some have 3 and 2 in the middle have 2 and that the lower notes' strings have copper wire coiled round them (2 layers for the lowest notes) and then compared them to the strings on my (much neglected) guitar.

...we did play that game of Phase 10 after getting side tracked by the internal workings of the piano though.

...M had a go on Thingdom

...K helped me to make a quiche for tea (I'll let her have a go herself another time, but it was getting rather late!)

...we watched some Paralympic action including a race that showed why they call it 'Freestyle' rather than 'Front Crawl' - something that we have been discussing recently.

....and I finished off the rest of the baking.
