A laid-back day with a life lesson.

After breakfast while waiting for me to get dressed, after which I had agreed to read some more Harry Potter, K pointed out that the laundry basket was quite full.  So today's lesson was a life one!  I pointed out that she could do somehting about it, so she did.  She sorted a load, put it in the machine, then with a bit of supervision of adding powder and a reminder which buttons to press, she set it going.  After a couple of chapters of Harry Potter (which K & M both continued with the sewing they'd started yesterday) it had finished.  Then M did her part in helping out by clearing the dry things off the airer and K hung up wet things.  More sewing was done this afternoon while I did some batch cooking and then we all played Carcassonne (for the first time in a while, partly because we'd lent it to friends although admittedly we hadn't played before that for a some time).  Considering how rubbish I'm feeling having had a really bad night's sleep and having come down with a horrible stinky cold, I think that was quite productive.
