Just talking

Being at home with my girls, while great, does mean that it's quite unusual for me to get one-to-one time with either of them.  So at weekends, when A's around (when he's not playing cricket!) gives the opportunity to have a little bit of time with just one of my girls.  Today it so happened that K said yes when I asked if anyone wanted to come to the Farmers' Market with me, so we had the chance to carry on with our conversation about the Olympics, which M hadn't been particularly interested in anyway.  We talked about a completely different side of the games.
We talked about Tommy Smith and John Carlos' black power salute in the 1968 Olympics, the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Hitler and Jesse Owen (which showed how much K had remembered from previous conversations and a visit to the local war memorial after playing The Game of Life) and touched on the Munich Massacre of 1972.
