So they each weighed and measured, and in K's case halved. We used weight, volume and temperature and both imperial and metric! There's plenty of scope for science too of course, with melting butter and making a cake from individual ingredients is a great analogy for compounds being made from elements!

See, my boys wont do maths or baking...! But I get where you are coming from...
ReplyDeleteAh! Other sources of maths for us are pocket money and buying stuff and games, mostly The Game of Life (we have the original one and the new Adventures edition) and, for M, scoring when playing Carcassonne (K only watches and won't play that one).
